STAR news went on set of the new film “Tommy’s Honour,” based on a book by the same name. Directed by Sean Connery’s son Jason, this film follows the life of professional golfer Young “Tommy” Morris who unfortunately passed away at the young age of 24. Jack Lowden, the main star in the “Chariots of Fire” play, portrays Tommy Morris while Peter Mullan and Sam Neill from “Jurassic Park” also make appearances.

We caught up with recent St Andrews’ graduate Sean McDonald while he was busy working on set. He says that, “Tommy Morris is a bit of a St Andrews legend, and it is really cool to see how they depict his life for the big screen.” He notes the “movie magic” behind the production, as the crew has made Edinburgh and various parts of Fife look just like St Andrews.

Be on the lookout for the crew, as they may return to St Andrews to finish some scenes. For more information check out their Facebook page
