Old Browne Shoe
- Tuesday 3-5pm
Old Browne Shoe is now in its second year on STAR, although that does not guarantee that you will enjoy an improved listening experience. You'll just have to trust me when I say it's really good.
It is now produced by me as well, meaning that I am no longer held back by the limitations of others. This is bound to blow up in my face. And I don't just mean the radio hardware.
What can you expect to hear? My choice of two Beatles tracks at the start of each show (because (1) they are legendary and (2) I adapted/stole my show title from one of their songs)... all the way through to YOUR choice of song at the end, as Old Browne Shoe is a democratic institution. Unless of course I disagree with the listening public and play you what you should have picked, as I know best.
The music is naturally the STAR of the show, but your host will occasionally talk to you. News stories from St Andrews and beyond, plus my completely non-cynical take on celebrity/TV/showbiz news/rubbish. And funny news stories designed to make you laugh and forget that 2012 has pencilled in 'end of the world' onto its to-do list.
Traditionally-speaking, I should end this Description with a Beatles pun. But that was Yesterday and, to be honest, I'm So Tired of trying. Anyway, I'd only end up looking a Fool (On The Hill).
