Filmmakers in St Andrews have the opportunity to enter an exciting film festival. Named the 60 Hour Film Blitz and part of the University’s 600th Anniversary Celebrations, entrants create a 3-minute film based in the town in just 60 hours.

The films will then be screened for the public at the Byre Theatre, where a panel of four judges choose their favourites. The director of the Edinburgh Film Festival is one of the judges.

Anyone is eligible to enter, with different categories of prizes being awarded according to the filmmakers’ prior experience. The entry fee is £10 for a team of up to 8 people, which also includes a ticket to the screening on 11th March.

Free workshops will be held to teach teams camera and editing techniques will take place on 28th February and 3rd March.
