Students Lose Legal Battle Against Tuition Fee Rise

BBC News
Students Callum Hurley and Katy Moore lost their legal battle against the increase in tuition fees, in High Court, earlier today.
The government's decision to increase tuition fees from £3,290 to £9,000 breached human rights and equality laws, claimed Hurley and Moore.
High Court found that the government had failed to comply fully with its public service equality laws regulations. Nonetheless, Hurley and Moore's claims on breaches of human rights were rejected.
Subsequently, the government's higher education policy remains the same.
