St Andrews to make Real Ale
Fife is to have its own “real ale” thanks to the activities of local enthusiast Bob Phaff, who recently founded the St Andrews Brewing Company.
The initial beers are Blonde, I.P.A, Seventy Bob, Oatmeal Stout, and Neuk Ale and the range will be expanded as the brewery develops.
Bob has joined forces with renowned brew master Stuart Noble of the award winning Abbeydale Brewery in Sheffield and with local ceramic artist Susan McGill.
This will bring a unique image to the bears.
Bob is hoping to transfer the premises from Glenrothes to St Andrews.
He added that his aim was to supply great beers both locally and further afield, and bring to St Andrews one of the few things its lacks – its own brewery.
