Semester schedule shaken up

The University has given notice to students of next year's semester dates, with Semester 1 in particular seeing some major changes.
Notably, Pre-sessional Week will take place one week earlier than in previous years (from Monday 10 September), and Reading Week will be replaced by a Revision Week immediately before exams (from 3 November).
The reason for these changes is that exams will take place before Christmas, 10-20 December inclusive. Semester 2 will then be held between 28 January and 31 May 2013.
