Step 1: Welcome
Thank you for your interest in STAR, the student-run radio station. As a matriculated student you are already a member! Hopefully this guide should give you an idea of what we're about and remember, you can Sign up at any point (see top-right)!
STAR is one of the newest societies within St Andrews, having first launched in February 2005 following a number of failed prior attempts in the past few decades. In just 2 years the society has grown to be one of the largest in the university with over 600 students actively involved, and the support of the Students Association.
We exist to provide students a chance to get involved in a real life radio station. As well as the opportunity to present your own show, you can also get involved in producing shows, creating jingles, reading the news or helping out in one of the smaller teams, such as the advertising and music teams.
